Collection of videos that were created as part of my studies, giving me the chance to explore various facets of storytelling and filmmaking. I had a lot of fun in experimenting as well as working with my peers and I'm glad that I'm able to share them here today.

This short film was done as a final year project in accordance to the theme of "environment".
Return to Dust explores the delicate balance between humanity, nature, and the relentless drive of capitalism. It urges viewers to question whether endless consumerism and exploitation can truly be sustained.
I was fortunate to lead my production team as director, writer, and post-production editor.

Inspired by the song "Linger" by The Cranberries, "Linger 萦绕" is a short film exploring betrayal and the journey toward forgiveness, questioning whether true self-forgiveness is ever attainable.
I am lucky enough to direct and write the script for this story that I wanted to tell, as well as editing it.

Video assignment done in exploring the concept of Soviet Montage theory. The video is made up of three different montages, detailing an unfortunate tragedy that ties two souls together:
I. State of Emergency - Metric montage II. Anima/Atonement - Tonal montage III. Blackbiird - Intellectual montage

Video done for Pertandingan Video Kreatif Bernas on National Day 2023, with the theme of rice and national unity.
I came up with the idea of us making a plate of nasi lemak from scratch together, where like the loose ingredients that we started with, we are able to create something incredible if we stick together.
The shooting is tough as we have to travel out of Penang island for our shooting location & none of us are any good at cooking. But with the dedication and support of my friends, we are able to pull through in the end.

Tasked with preparing a short dialogue scene, we decided to replicate a scene out of Phoebe Waller-Bridge "Fleabag" , with some changes of our own.
The shoot is very fun and we learned a lot about blocking, dialogue editing and comedic timing.
I was tasked with directing and editing this project.

Video assignment in creating a short film in the style of French New Wave. The story follows Jennie as she struggles with self doubt and jealousy for her friend Mia while exploring the dillema of self expression and artistic creation.
This is one of the first film that I am able to write and direct, and I am forever grateful for my friends in helping me achieved this.
